Maurine HenkleGraveside Service: To be scheduled later
Maurine Henkle, age 85, of Washington CH, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 12:35 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on February 17, 1923 in Fayette County to Allen and Mary Parrott Henkle, both deceased. She worked for several years at Jewish Hospital and Drake Hospital and was in private practice with Dr. Joe Kellenberger as a registered nurse. She had also worked for the State of Ohio, Department for the Blind. Maurine received her nursing degree from the Jewish College of Nursing and was a 1941 Washington High School graduate.
Maurine is survived by her brother Robert Henkle, nieces Robin (Gary) Benson, Kris (Larry) Dumford, both of Washington CH, Kimberly Henkle of West Jefferson and nephew Lance Henkle of Jeffersonville; nine great-nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew. Also surviving are special friends Lynn Zirkes and Polly Huser, both of Cincinnati.
A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in the Washington Cemetery with Jeannie Imell, Visitation Minister at Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
