BRUCE E. WILSON, age 66, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 9:40 p.m. at his home.
He was born on February 13, 1950 in Greenfield, to James M. and Frances Cook Wilson. He was a 1968 Miami Trace High School graduate where he was known as an outstanding football player. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and later retired from Mac Tool of Washington CH and Sabina. He was a member of the McNair Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed collecting toy trains, gardening, nature walks, fishing, was an avid OSU Buckeye fan and especially loved spending time with his family and his grandson.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Wilson, his wife, Judy Lightle Wilson, whom he married on June 28, 1969; his children, Carey Wilson, Amy Wilson, and Corey (Ashley) Wilson; grandson, Nathan Wilson; siblings, James (Caroline) Wilson and Steve Wilson (Jean) as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He is also survived by his beloved canine companion, Abbey.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the McNair Presbyterian Church, 503 Lewis St., Washington CH, with Pastor Steve Watters officiating.
