Laura Y. "Bonnie" Snook

LAURA Y. “BONNIE” SNOOK, age 74, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 8:19 p.m. at her home.

She was born on August 22, 1942 in Frankfort, Ohio, to Charles and Laura Burlile Downard. She retired from Mac Tools after twenty-four years of service. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, playing bingo, cooking, baking, and sewing. Laura also loved sticking with family traditions.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter; Debra K. Lovejoy, sister; Shirley Taylor, and brother; Butch Downard.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Vernon) Westfall, Richard (Lynn) Althouse, grandchildren, Lora (Jerry) Havens, Brandi Wood (Mindy), Bret (Mandy) Gleadell, Katrina Upthegrove, Eric Upthegrove, Adam Knisley, Dawn (Brian) Lovejoy-Brown, and Danny (Morgan) Lovejoy; twenty-one great-grandchildren; step-children, Jackie Snook, Joann Hutton, and Dawn Wright; siblings, Kenny Downard, and Jerry (Melissa) Downard as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Joy Stanforth officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
