Mary Ann Harrison

MARY ANN HARRISON, age 54, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 10:28 p.m. at her home.

She was born on April 26, 1963 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Harvey Travis Sr. and Fay Etta Carpenter. She was a 1981 graduate of Gardenside Christian Academy in Lexington. Mary was a state tested nurse’s aide and had worked at Court House Manor and was currently employed at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Mary was a loving and devoted mother, Mimi, and friend. She enjoyed vacationing with her friends, and most importantly, being with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Zach (Tera) Harrison, and Darren (Tabitha) Harrison; grandchildren, Emily Keaton, Grayson, Graham, Bryson, Carleigh, and Oakleigh Ann Harrison arriving in August; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron (Judith) Carpenter, and Harvey (Melissa) Travis; and her special friends, Kristi Gray, Lori Moore, and Paula Moore. Also surviving are nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Pettit officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place after the service.
