Steven Eugene Allison

STEVEN EUGENE ALLISON, age 77, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7:21 a.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He was born on June 18, 1939 in Fayette County to Earl and Dorothy Beekman Allison Bayes. Steven farmed for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, collecting arrowheads with his daughter, and being with his children and grandchildren.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Frank Bayes, daughter, Diana Allison, sister, Martha Allison, and brother-in-law, Charles Bowdle.

Survivors include his children, Shawna (David) Ellenberger, and Teresa (Derry) Hummel; grandchildren, Cheryl (Kevin) Landrum, Steven Phillips, Angela (Ian) Trefz, Heather (Rob) Stone, Christopher (Krystal) Phillips, Jeremy (Melissa) Phillips, Travis Ellenberger, Hannah Ellenberger, Curtis (Charm) Hammock, and Linda (Gary) Bendall; 29 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Loren) Cartwright, Robert Allison, Judy Bowdle, and Benny (Mary) Bayes. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
