DEBORAH JEAN “DEBBIE” YOHO, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Four Seasons of Washington while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 10, 1951 in Fayette County to the late Clark Rumer, Jr. and Maxine Isabelle (Bowen) Rumer. She was a 1969 graduate of Miami Trace High School and lived all of her life in this area. Debbie was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3762. She retired from the Fayette County Board of Developmental Disabilities where she worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. Debbie loved spending time with family and friends and her pride in joy in life, her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Gilbert Eugene “Gib” Yoho, whom she married on July 29, 1972; her children, Michael Eugene (Melissa) Yoho, and Jennifer Sue Ann Chaney; grandchildren, Robin Lynn Courts, Hanna Nicole Yoho and her boyfriend, Ty Schobelock, Michael Scott Yoho, Jacob Orville Harris, and Katie Isabelle Harris and her boyfriend, Matthew Honicker; siblings, Marsha Rardin, Dollie (Danny) Johnson, Dennis (Beverly) Rumer, and Ron (Angie) Rumer; special sister-in-law, Mary Ann Yoho-Smith; and her beloved feline companion, Halo. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Hippely and Pastor Todd Maurer officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4-6:00 p.m. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow and burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery at a later date.
