Charles R. Graham

CHARLES R. GRAHAM, age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 4:15 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH.

He was born on May 29, 1937 in Preble County to Robert D. and Anna E. Ross Graham. He was a 1955 graduate of Camden High School. Charles retired from Armco Steel where he had worked as a welder; after retirement, he went on to work at Airborne in Wilmington. He enjoyed watching drag racing and old westerns, tinkering with cars, dancing, bird watching, and being with his family.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Doris Graham, Donald Graham, Scott Graham, and Richard (Carolyn) Graham; and grandson, Brett Wightman.

Survivors include his life partner of forty-two years, Betty Johnson; children, Brad (Susan) Graham of Bainbridge, Lucinda Worthington (Mark Wallace) of Columbus, Mindy (Terry) Eckle of Washington CH, Kelly (Theresa) Graham of Michigan, Wendell (Carole) Graham of Florida, Ginnie (Randy) Pittman of Massachusetts, Kim (Keith) Wightman of Washington CH, and Stephanie (Keith) James of Sabina; twenty-five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and very special friends, Sherry Brown, and Dana Callahan. Also surviving are several nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.

The viewing will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place after viewing and a graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Sugar Creek Methodist Cemetery.
