Donna Mae Conger

DONNA MAE CONGER, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:50 a.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born on February 28, 1935 in Fayette County to John Hartley and Anna Florence Rutledge Jones. Donna had worked as a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching cartoons, and being with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. Conger, whom she married on December 25, 1975; and siblings, Ruth (George “Jr.”) Matney, Audry Jones, Betty (Bill) Penwell, Herbert (Virginia) Jones, Raymond (Nellie) Jones, Harry Jones, and Hartley Jones Jr.

Survivors include her children, Donald Jones, and Roger Conger; grandchildren, Dustin (Shannon) Russell, Sylvia (Darryl) Ison, and Roger (Megan) Conger; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Brooklyn, Audrey, Devin, Rodney, Abigail, Nikki, Racine, and Madison; brother and sister-in-law, Marion (Peggy) Jones, and sister-in-law, Lillian Jones. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The memorial service will be he held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In keeping with Mrs. Conger’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
