GARNET FAY FORSHA-WALTON, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on December 19, 1942 in Fayette County to Kenneth and Eunice Smith Bostwick. Garnet worked as a stay at home mother taking care of her two daughters. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Garnet had served as a former President for the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #653. She enjoyed watching game shows, old westerns, and being with her family and friends.
Garnet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald “Duck” Walton, whom she married on May 2, 1987; infant daughter, Debbie Forsha; step-father, Lowell Smith; and siblings, Connie Hall, and Kristi Hanna.
Survivors include her children, Cathy (Don Terry) Forsha, and Linda (Jerry Brady) Forsha; grandsons, Craig, Brian, Stephen, Kyle, and Nathan Forsha; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Payton, Sydney, Oshea, and Marci; brother, Dennis Smith; brothers-in-law, Karl Hall, and Rick Hanna; and her special friends, Peggy Penwell, and June Hayes. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
