Jeremy Dean Haines

JEREMY DEAN HAINES, age 47, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 12:36 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He was born on April 21, 1971 in Fayette County to Tom Jones and Donna Haines Everhart. He received a Certificate in Electronics from the Miami Valley Career Technology Center in 1991 and an Associate of Arts from Wilmington College in 1993. Jeremy was previously self-employed and owned his own construction company. He enjoyed drinking a beer, grilling out, rock music, watching old westerns, Notre Dame Football, and being with his family and friends.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his wife, Carla Rae Haines, whom he married on February 21, 2012; maternal grandparents, Loren “Pete” and Katie Haines; brother-in-law, Phillip “Dude” Wilson Jr.; and his aunt and uncle, Laura and Clayton Whiteside.

Survivors include his parents; sisters, Sylvia Wilson, and Danielle Everhart and her fiancé Jason Meadows; nieces and nephews, Casey (Maria) Wilson, Kaytlyn Wilson, McKenzie Everhart, and Jaxon Meadows; great-nieces and nephews, Andalyn, Gabrielle, and Chevy Jack; step-children, Seth Stires, Brittany Stires, and their children; and special friend, Janet Murphy. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Jeremy overcame a traumatic brain injury in 2009 and was given a second chance at life, due to his accident, he became very passionate about becoming an organ and tissue donor to give someone else a second chance. Jeremy will always be remembered as a hero to his family for sharing The Gift of Life and Healing through organ and tissue donation.

The viewing will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with Jeremy’s wishes, cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Summers Funeral Help to assist with funeral expenses.
