JONATHON JACOB SMITH, age 20, of Wilmington, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 2:37 p.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on August 29, 1998 in Franklin County to Joshua and Tannya Bolender Smith. He had attended Washington High School. Jonathon had previously been employed where he had worked in construction. He enjoyed getting tattoos, playing sports, and being with his family and friends.
Jonathon was preceded in death by his grandfather and greatest hero, Robert “Bob” Bolender Jr.; great-grandparents, Robert Sr. and Mary Bolender, Don and Marilyn Graves, Bev DeWeese, and Paul McDaniel; uncle, James Graves; and great-uncle, John Lewis.
Survivors include his mother, Tannya Smith and her significant other, Adam Lightle of Wilmington; his father, Joshua Smith of Circleville; children, Conner Smith, Weston Hawkins, Ariel Bain, and twins arriving in December; step-daughter, Zoey Fox; siblings, Cheyanne Smith, McKenzie Lightle, Camron Smith, Gabriel Lightle, and Aaron Lightle; and grandparents, Vickie (Rex) Simmons, and Candy Curl. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
