Mary Francis Souther

MARY FRANCIS SOUTHER, age 52, of Washington CH, formerly of Jeffersonville, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 5:48 a.m. at Signature Healthcare of Fayette County.

She was born on November 8, 1967 in Fayette County to Delbert Edward and Sally Anne Kilgore Souther. She had attended Washington High School. Mary had worked at the former Wintersong Village as a Nurse’s Aide for many years. She enjoyed coloring, vacationing, and being with her family and grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Matthew Shane Queen; and brother, Stephen Dwayne Souther.

Survivors include her children, Carl Randall Penwell, and Bethany Nicole (JD) Benson; grandchildren, Adrienne Davis, McKenzie Penwell, Emily Adkins, Isaac Miller, Nevaeh Penwell, Jenna Penwell, Rakeya Benson, Avery Downing, Michael Downing, and Keauna Self; sister, Sarah Garcia; and her best friend Debbie Noel. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
