MICHAEL ANTHONY STOKOVICH, age 67, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 12:20 p.m. in Bainbridge, Ohio.
He was born on September 9, 1951 in Elyria, Ohio to Michael and Mary Foster Stokovich. He attended Elyria High School. Michael had been employed at Stark Truss Incorporated in Washington CH for twenty-seven years. He was an active member at the South Charleston Christian Church. Michael was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed going to Church, driving for his Mennonite friends, and being with his family.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Danny Thomas Stokovich, Jo Maldonado, and Cathy Salata.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Ellen Smith Stokovich, whom he married on March 2, 1972; children, Michael JJ Stokovich, and Martha (Mike) Yockey; grandchildren, Michael JJ Stokovich Jr., and Crescentina Marie Stokovich; great-grandchildren, Jackson JJ Stokovich, and Dixie Batchler; and siblings, Kathy Stokovich, Martha Sue Stokovich Duke Lewis (Jessie) Stokovich, Daniel (Patty) Moore, Jerry (Jan) Moore, Sharion (Ron) Wycosky, Melanie Moore, and Terry Moore. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Turner officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
