Myrtle Bennett Obituary

MYRTLE MAE BENNETT, age 93, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 8:44 a.m. at the St. Catherine’s Manor.

She was born on August 17, 1926 in Fayette County to Charles Franklin and Ollie Harrison Cooper. She had previously been employed by the Days Inn at 35 and 71. She had been a very active member of the Weslyan Holiness Church on Paint St. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading her Bible, canning, and her canine companions, Angel and Ringo.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Giacinto
“Tony” Angeletti, Robert Paul Sr., and Herman Bennett, her children, Charles Angeletti, Carl Angeletti and Brenda Collins, granddaughter, Autumn Angeletti as well as seven siblings

Survivors include her children, Sylvio (Barbara) Angeletti, Joseph Angeletti Sr., and Robert Paul Jr.; nine grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, George Cooper and Helen Williams and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
