Pricilla Diane Jones

PRICILLA DIANE JONES, age 77, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 5:55 p.m. at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 9, 1940 in Fayette County to Joseph Thurman and Helen Louise Kelley Gentry. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Diane had worked as a cook and baker at the former “J&J Restaurant” and “Court View Restaurant.” She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, being a night owl, watching cartoons, doing cross-word puzzles, and most importantly, she loved being with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Russell “Russ” Jones, whom she married on November 26, 1968; sister, Esther Knisley; and her loving pet, Momma Kitty.

Survivors include her children, Pam Jones of Columbus, Billy (Kim) Jones of Washington CH, and Tyler Jones of Jamestown; grandchildren, Joshua, Tearayne, Bacardi (Kayla) Jones; great-grandchildren, Simone, Sophie Diane, Kahlen, and Rilyn Jones, Malachi, Arianna, and Kapri Jones; and siblings, Joseph (Judy) Gentry, Connie Webb, and Bobby (Bonnie) Gentry. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with Diane’s wishes, cremation will follow.
