Ruth White Obituary

RUTH ANN WHITE, age 84, of Chillicothe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 12:08 a.m. at her home.

She was born on June 18, 1934 in Chillicothe to Nolan and Opal Martin Barnhart. After high school she obtained her Associate’s Degree and worked as an Activity Director for many years. Ruth had worked at Court House Manor, St. Catherine’s Manor, and the former Auburn Manor. She also spent time as a live-in nanny while she was residing in California. Ruth had served the role as a Minister’s wife, traveling to many different areas, including; Logan, Washington CH, Carroll, Frankfort, Pioneer, Napoleon, Ohio, Illinois, and California. She had attended the First Wesleyan Church in Chillicothe.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Ann Schiff; grandchildren, Andrea Linder, and Derek Bolaney; great-granddaughter, Evelyn McKee; and brothers, Willard Barnhart, and Nolan Barnhart.

Survivors include her daughters, Nola Kaye White, Lisa Gutierrez, and Cheryl Lynn (Ted) Kerns; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and siblings, Rosemary Smith, Judy Knecht, Carole (Paul) Frazier, and Sandra (Elzie) Collier. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Wesleyan Church, 89 S. Mulberry St., Chillicothe, OH 45601, with Chaplain Billy Morris officiating with burial to follow at the Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
