STEVE LEETO TACKETT, age 67, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 1:35 a.m. at his home.
He was born on June 19, 1950 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Charles Jr. and Jane Marie Kimball (Tackett) McCarty. He was a 1968 graduate of Flat Gap High School in Kentucky.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; special parents, Joseph and Clarice Hudgins; and his first wife and mother of his children, Virginia “Ginny” Faye Tackett.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lisa Marie Brady Tackett, whom he married on April 29, 2017; his children, Charles Ernest Tackett, and Michael Lee Tackett; and siblings, George Ellio Tackett, Robert Geno Tackett, Clarice Marie Haney, Doris Rae Haney, and Mallie Lulanda McCarty. Also surviving is a host of spiritual brothers and sisters.
He was a proud and faithful member at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Washington CH; he remained loyal to his God, Jehovah, until his passing. Steve was a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, and the game of golf.
Steve had worked for over twenty years as a machinist for Micro Enterprises in Springfield and later retired from the Carmichael Machine Corporation.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1702 US Highway 22 NW, Washington CH, OH 43160. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Washington CH.
