Susan Jane Dolan

SUSAN JANE DOLAN, age 73, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 3:42 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Karen and grandson, Jaxson.

She was born on February 18, 1944 in Fayette County to Earl and Lucille Scott Orr. Susan retired from Mead in 1984 and spent many of her retirement years in Florida before returning to Washington CH in 1999. She attended the Grace Community Church. Susan was a woman with many talents, including; being a drummer in the Washington High School Band, and a professional dancer for Arthur Murray. She enjoyed going to yard sales, antique fairs, playing cards, and being with her family and grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph Edward Dolan, whom she married on May 2, 1984, and her brother, Jerry Orr.

Survivors include her children, Kristy Rowland, Jeff (Tamara) Minshall, Kathy (Bob) Everetts, Karen Singleton, and Jason (Jenny) Singleton; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, David, Ed, and Janice; and special friends, Jean, Suzie, Donova, Kelly, and her special caregivers, Rochelle and Michele. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
