SUSAN JEANETTE GEESLING, age 65, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH.
She was born on January 18, 1953 in Fayette County to James Lee Sr. and Betty Jane Gardner Coldiron. She was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School. Sue was a master cake baker and decorator for over forty years. She was one of the founding members at the Unity Fellowship Church where she was very active in the ministry. Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed baking cakes, creating floral arrangements, but most of all, she loved being a Granny.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sarita Coldiron Shiltz, and James Lee Coldiron Jr.; and her niece, Jillian Coldiron.
Survivors include her loving husband, George Geesling, whom she married on July 24, 1971; her children, Jason Scott Geesling, Dawn Michele (Rob) Dawson, and Rachael Ellise (Jacob) Hurst; grandchildren, Abby and Emma Geesling, Taylor and Sara Dawson, Ethan Hurst, and baby girl Hurst coming in August; brother, Russell (Dianne) Coldiron; and her sister-in-law, Ozella Coldiron. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Unity Fellowship Church, 4405 Prairie Rd NE, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Keith Clary officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
