ADA SHILTZ, age 92, of New Holland, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 4:40 p.m. at Court House Manor.

She was born on October 2, 1926 in Pickaway County to Arthur and Gertrude Shaw Mitchem-Matson. She was a graduate of New Holland High School. Ada had been employed at Kaufman Stairs, Incorporated. She had attended the Spirit of Truth Church on Robinson Road in Washington CH. Ada was a loving and devoted wife, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed going to church and loved caring for her dogs.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Lee Shiltz, whom she married on January 26, 1945; two infant sons; and siblings, Chester Mitchem, Harry Matson, Albert Matson, Dorothy Minshall, Lena Matson, Ethel Jones, and Estel Reisinger.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Don Young officiating with burial to follow at the New Holland Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
