ALICE MARIE (JOHNSON) GREENLEE, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Cedarvale Commons Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
She was born on July 27, 1942 in Fayette County to the late Sanford and Cora Marie (Penwell) Johnson. Alice retired from the Washington CH Municipal Court. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, bowling, reading, and spending time with her great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Greenlee, whom she married in 1987; siblings, Charles "Johnny" Johnson, Paul Johnson, Betty (Alfred) Cornell, Don (Ludene) Johnson, Glenn "Bud" Johnson, Margaret (Floyd) Wolfe, and Robert (Dorothy) Johnson; along with several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Socks and Peanut.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda (Lonnie) Hixon of Leesburg, Tonda Ray of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Allen Ridge of Leesburg; brother, Fred Johnson of Washington CH; sister-in-law, Penny Johnson of Washington CH; grandchildren, Donald (Sara) Hixon of Washington CH, Tara (Chris) Bullock of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Christopher (Amy) Hixon of Leesburg, Tadd (Amanda) Gilmore of Radcliff, Kentucky, and Blaine Collins of Leesburg; and great-grandchildren, Zayden, Korbin, and Arlee Hixon, Brynlee, Alex, and Zach Bullock, Jaydn, Tavian, and Xander Gilmore, Blake Rush, and Jasper Dennis. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cedarvale Commons for the wonderful care she received at the end of her life and a special thanks to her roommate and friend, Tammy Stiles.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
