ALLEN LEE NUTTER, age 75, of Washington CH, OH, formerly of Summersville, WV, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Court House Manor in Washington CH. Allen was born to the late Keith and Willie Hughes Nutter in Summersville, on July 1, 1941. He and his wife gave their lives to the Lord together in 1968. He always put his faith in God. He loved to sing, memorize/quote scripture and poems. He was an active member of the Pierson United Methodist Church of Summersville. After relocating to Washington CH, he attended the First Church of the Nazarene where he had served in various leadership positions. He was a graduate of Nicholas County High School. He retired from Pro-Pak Industries in Toledo, OH and formerly worked at Mead Containers in Washington CH. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marjorie Foster Nutter, to whom he married on June 1, 1963, his son Gary A. Nutter, and brother Gary R. Nutter. Allen was blessed with a large and loving family. Survivors include: his children, Becky (Andre') Anderson of Washington CH, Samuel (Belinda) Nutter of Palm Coast, FL, and Debbie (Jeff) Blair of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Gary II, Drew (Bethany), Levi, Cindi, Alyia, MacKenzie, Madison, Logan, Sammy, and Evan; siblings, Sylvia (Orvin) Cavendish, Macel (Benny) Haynes, Keith Jr. (Belle) Nutter, and Jenny (David) Stephens as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 175 Halliday Way Washington CH, with Pastor Todd Maurer officiating. Friends and family may call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
