ANN LEAMING LUCAS, age 81, of Washington CH, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 6:09 a.m. at St. Catherine's Manor.

She was born on March 22, 1936 in Middletown, Ohio to Russell and Marie Collins Leaming. She was a 1954 graduate of Wilmington High School. She had attended Wilmington College and Mount Carmel School of Nursing. She was a member of the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church in Washington CH. She worked as a secretary at Wintersong Village and My Sister's House.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dan Palmer, and her second husband, Victor Lucas; brother, Maynard Leaming, and sister, Virgina Leaming Hadley.

Survivors include her children, Cyndi (David) Collins, and Mike Palmer; grandchildren, Jerad Matthews and his fiancé, Katilyn Taylor, and Emily Matthews; great-granddaughters, Cora and Addie; and her loving canine companion, George.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Father Michael Hartge officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4-7:00 p.m., a prayer vigil will be held prior to viewing at 4:00 p.m. Friends may also again visit again on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
