ANN STROUSE, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:40 a.m. at her home. She was born on July 30, 1942 in Fayette County to Harry and Virginia Magill Kimmey. She was a 1961 Jeffersonville High School graduate. She previously worked at the Orient State Institute and also worked at the R.W. Kimmey Refuge Removal Company as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Nehemiah Wilson and sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Kimmey and Betty Harner. Survivors include her husband, Charles Strouse, whom she married on July 19, 1971; her daughter, Charlene, and her husband Mike Wilson; grandchildren Austin, Avery, Jacob, Abigail, Elijah, Isaiah, Gabriel and Lydia Wilson; brothers Jimmy Kimmey, Roger Kimmey and Harry (Carol) Kimmey; in-laws Ruth Smith, Shirley (Sonny) Rittenhouse and Sonny (Linda) Strouse. In keeping with Ann's wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Burial will take place at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
