ANNA "SUE" SKAGGS, age 66, of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 11:05 a.m. She was born on February 22, 1950 in Kentucky to Chip and Katherine Warrens Gayheart. She was a member of the Faith Life Church in New Albany. Sue enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping, loved nature, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jeffrey and Wendell Gayheart. Survivors include her husband, Roy Skaggs, whom she married on September 6, 1980; her children, Sarah (Titus) Chang and Seth Skaggs; grandchildren, Ethan and Zoey; siblings, Roger Gayheart, Vanessa Gayheart, Gary (Kim) Gayheart and Tim Gayheart; mother-in-law, Louise Skaggs as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Roman Matthews. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Michael Puskas officiating with burial to follow at the Gayheart Cemetery in Waverly.
