ARLENE F. GARDNER, age 71, of Washington CH, formerly of Leesburg, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 2:35 p.m. at the Four Seasons Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on October 27, 1943 in Fayette County to Forrest and Mildred Gault Campbell. She enjoyed being a housewife and loved cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and her canine companion, Sassy. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles F. Gardner Sr. and sisters Beverly Campbell and Patsy Hurles. Survivors include her children Charles Gardner III, David (Michele) Gardner and Tisha (Roger) Howe; grandchildren Caitlyn, Ciara, Aaron, Andrew, James and Cindy; four great-grandchildren and sister Chelsie Ellis. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Joy Stanforth officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later time at the convenience of the family.
