ARTHUR JOSEPH "ARTIE" TERRY, JR., age 72, of Washington CH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. He was born on February 19, 1942 in Ross County to Arthur Sr. and Leona Alexander Terry. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church where he enjoyed being a part of the choir and served as an usher. He had his own lawn care service for many years. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and attending all Washington Blue Lions sporting events. Artie was preceded in death by his father Arthur J. Terry Sr., brother Michael Terry, Uncle Daryl Alexander and Aunt Mary Dixon. He is survived by his mother Leona Terry; sisters Brenda Latimore and Jane Ann (Mark) Newsome; nephews Pastor Owen (Kelli) Latimore Jr., Mark Newsome III and Mathew Newsome; niece Jennifer Latimore Erskine; great-nephews Michael Toney, Anthony, Corey and Malcom Latimore, Jamal Stevens, and Ezekiel Latimore; great-nieces Zarah and Tiara Erskine, Alayna, Eternitti and Annessa Latimore. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gregg Street Worship Center with Pastor Owen Latimore and Minister Jay Simmons officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The repass will be held at Signature Health Care, 375 Glenn Ave., immediately following the burial until 3:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
