ARTHUR DALE "SONNY" CURRENT, age 83, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 7:47 p.m. at Court House Manor.

He was born on February 17, 1939 in Fayette County to Arthur and Stella (Taylor) Current. He was a 1957 graduate of Wayne High School. Sonny retired after 40 years of service at Armco Steel. After retirement, he worked part-time at Summers Funeral Home for several years. Sonny attended the First Baptist Church in Washington CH. He enjoyed golfing, basketball, and playing the bass guitar.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lena Fee; and brothers-in-law, Gene Dixon, Eddie Braden, and Don Fee.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Herma Carole (Campbell) Current, whom  he married on March 28, 1988; daughter, Sunny Dale Taylor; step-children, Tony (Tracey) Harper, Angela Harper, Shawn Harper, and Joey (Beth) Harper; grandchildren, Trevor (Michelle) Patton, Morgan Harper, and Bailey Harper; and sisters, Jean Dixon, and Jo Braden. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 301 E. East St., Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Joe Current and Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating with burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
