BARBARA LYNN MCCAIN, age 62, of Urbana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 6:34 pm at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 5, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Dr. Robert and Lediabelle Wolf Kline. She was a 1973 graduate of Urbana High School. She worked for 18 years at the Urbana Mercy Memorial Hospital, Dr. Buckalew-Wilder's office, as well as Family Physicians of Urbana. She had been a member of the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union where she had served as choir director. She loved spending time with all children, was a wonderful caregiver and as the family says, she would do anything for anyone. Barb was preceded in death by her father, and her mother-in-law, Imogene McCain. Survivors include her mother, Ledie Kline; her husband, Rick McCain, whom she married on December 7, 1973; her children, Matthew (Beth) McCain, Megan (Eric) Rice and adoptive daughter, Mim Quickle; grandchildren, Carston, Amanda, Seth, Ericca, and Autumn Renee; siblings Karen (Rev. Phil) Conrad and Connie (Rev. David) Dean; in-laws, Arthur and Joan McCain. She is also survived by her niece, Heather (Jason) Dooley, nephew, Chad (Sandra) Conrad, as well as a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1121 N. Main St. at 7:00 pm with Dr. David VanHoose, Rev. Carl Ogden and Rev. Mike Grable officiating. Friends may call at the church from 4-7 pm on Wednesday. Burial will follow on Thursday, at the Kingscreek Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
