BENJAMIN LEE “BEN” ALLEN, age 82, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

He was born on February 6, 1944 in Fayette County to the late Wilbur Richard and Effie Gladys (Cordell) Allen. Ben was a lifelong resident of Jeffersonville and graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1962.

Ben retired from Miami Trace where he drove the school bus and worked as a custodian. He loved the kids! Ben played softball for over thirty-two years. He enjoyed coaching little league and Babe Ruth, gardening, and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.

In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Dane, and his father and mother-in-law, David and Helen Sams.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Anita Kay (Sams) Allen, whom he married on June 21, 1961; his children, Benny (Lindy) Allen, Timothy (Krystal) Allen, Travis (Roni) Allen, and Benita (Dean) Breedlove; sisters, Bette Solnik, and Wanda Wheeler; grandchildren, Jordyn and Jaden Allen, Paislee and Carlee Thomas, Titan Firestone, Warren and Deann Breedlove, and Lauren Wrobel; and special friends, Johnny Trimble, and Danny Maxie. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 2-4:00 p.m. at The Jeffersonville Church of Christ, 83 N. Main St., Jeffersonville, OH 43128.
