BENNY RAY BARTON, age 68, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:44 p.m. at his home. He was born on March 30, 1946 in Fayette County to Arthur and Mertie Millirons Barton. He was a 1964 Miami Trace High School graduate. He had retired from Airborne of Wilmington. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #423, the VFW #228 and the American Legion Post #25. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loveed all things John Deere. Benny was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dean and Leroy Barton, Donna Baji, Betty Jones and Nancy Lewis. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Frederick Barton, whom he married on May 30, 1998; his children Shawn, Kyle and Chad Barton; step-children Shannon Barton, Danielle Nichols and Scotty Frederick; 12 grandchildren; siblings Joe (Patty) Barton, Jack (Mary) Barton and Dick (Kathy) Barton as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and all of his Eagles friends. The graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bloomingburg Cemetery with Pastor Keith Clary officiating.
