BETHANY K. WILLIAMSON, age 50, of Washington Court House, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home. Born on August 19, 1974, in Fayette County to Thomas and Deborah Merritt Braden. On January 20, 1996, she married her husband of twenty-eight years, Butch Williamson who survives.

Bethany was a 1992 graduate of Miami Trace High School and was a graduate of the Registered Nurse program at Clark State Community College of Nursing. She worked as a Home Healthcare Nurse, Hospice Nurse and ER Nurse for many years until her health would no longer allow. Bethany enjoyed doing puzzles, Sudoku and coloring, and loved taking care of cats and being around her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Bethany is survived by her children, Kaine (Cassy) Williamson and Lenza (Tank Haggard) Williamson, and her grandson, Cooper. Also surviving is her brother, T.J. Braden; her mother in-law, Betty Williamson; her brother in-law, Todd Williamson and her nieces and nephews, Austin (Taylor Dugan) Braden and their daughter, Aiyana, Addie Braden, Sam Braden along with sever other nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Bethany was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas E. and Josephine Braden, Coral and Herman Merritt and her father in-law, Herman "Butch" Williamson.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with Bethany's wishes, cremation will take place following the service. Interment will be held in Good Hope Cemetery at a later date by the family. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
