BETTY E. ANDREWS, age 83, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:50 a.m. at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She was born on September 11, 1932 in Hillsboro to Everett and Dessie Stroud Shaffer. She retired from Flowers by Marilee after 30 years of service. She was very much a 'people person' and loved spending time with her family and friends. Betty will be missed as a loving, caring wife and mother who always put the needs of her family and others ahead of her own. Many have appreciated her kindness and sense of humor through the years. Betty dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1942. We are deeply saddened by our loss but we rejoice in her integrity and loyal service to Jehovah. We are confident that Betty "proved herself faithful even to death" and will be seen again shortly in the Bible's promised resurrection. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Estelene Carter, Donzel Cook, Sarah Runk, William Shaffer, Samuel Shaffer and one brother at infancy. Survivors include her husband, John Eber Andrews, whom she married on September 24, 1955; her children Joe (Rebecca) Andrews, Tina Baker and Scott (Jill) Andrews; granddaughter, Chloe, as well as many nieces and nephews including Jerri, Roger (Sherry), and Vicki. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Gary Doles officiating.
