BETTY LEE HURLES, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 14, 1938 in Lucasville to Vonnie and Lula North Keaton. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, fishing, loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cooking, playing solitaire on the computer and enjoyed reading the Record Herald. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Hurles, her son Brian Keith Hurles and brother Virgil "Henry" Keaton. Survivors include her children Donna (Terry) Anders, Paul Jr. (Tammy) Hurles, Jerry (Sue) Hurles, Detra (Marvin) Jones, Rachel (Billy) Penwell and James Hurles; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; siblings Don (Pat) Keaton, Jack Keaton, Ruth Ann (Mick) Fuller and Edith (Ray) Fisher as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends including special friends Joyce, Edith, Midge and Carolyn Sue. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Fayette County and the ICU nurses at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. The visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
