BETTY L. (THOMAS) WHITTINGTON WILLIAMS, age 85, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:42 a.m. at her home.

She was born on October 5, 1930 in Buffalo, West Virginia to Marion and Myrtle (Cornell) Thomas. Betty had worked at Crowne Auto and was also a greeter at Wal-Mart in Washington CH. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed listening to her grand and great-grandsons play music.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gary Whittington; and siblings, Charles Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Marietta Harr, and Loretta Wamsley.

Survivors include her husband, Earl G. Williams, whom she married on April 20, 1981; her daughter, Barbara Aills; grandchildren Micah Aills, and Todd Aills; great-grandchildren Ethan and Preston Aills; and siblings, Annie (Bud) Hall, and Bill Thomas. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
