BEVERLY JANE DIXON, age 79, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8:09 a.m. at her daughter's home.

She was born on August 19, 1937 in Washington CH, to Harold and Floris Frederick Sprague. She was a 1955 Washington Senior High graduate. She had been employed by the G.C. Murphy's Company and the American Legion where she was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Beverly enjoyed reading, collecting bells and cardinals, was an amazing cook, and loved spending time with all of her family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orville Dixon Jr., whom she was married to for 59 years.

Survivors include her children, Clifford J. (Jo) Dixon, Gregory A. (Linda) Dixon, Janice M. (Joe) Guard, and Susan A. (Jeff) Lane; grandchildren, Allison Keidel, Cassandra Dellinger, Stephanie Harrod and Christopher and Jonathan Dixon and great-grandchildren, Hayley, Katie, Alexandria, Cole, Lucas and Logan.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Dryden Martin officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. The burial will take place at a later date at the Good Hope Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
