BILLY G. PENWELL, age 77, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 7:15 p.m. at his daughter's home in Jeffersonville. He was born on May 7, 1936 in Fayette County to Homer and Ruth Fout Penwell. He had worked at Washington Aluminum Casting. He enjoyed playing euchre and bingo, spending time with his grandchildren and going to demolition derbies. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Jones Penwell, brothers Homer, Herman, Robert, Fred, Harold, Howard, Dwight and Richard and sisters Hallie, Mildred, Hazel, Margaret and June. Survivors include his children Billy Jr. (Linda) Penwell and Janet (David) Snyder; grandchildren Tony Penwell, Jason (Hillary) Snyder, Robbie (Bec) Snyder and Dustin Snyder; great-grandchildren Austin, Kylie and Colston Snyder, J.P. Beauchamp and Kamdyn Penwell; brother Jerry (Diane) Penwell as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
