BRENDA SUE ALTHOUSE, age 64, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on November 12, 1958 in Fayette County to the late Bert E. and Norma Jean (Conger) Blair. She attended Miami Trace High School and later obtained her GED. Brenda had worked as head cook at a local nursing facility for several years before starting her career as a child care provider for over 25 years, she was very passionate about her work and loved each child as her own. She enjoyed working puzzles, cloud watching, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Danny R. Blair, and Terry J. "TJ" Blair.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Mike Althouse, whom she married on March 28, 1975; her children, Brad Althouse, Carrie (David) Robinson, and Brandi Jenkins; grandchildren, Michael Althouse, Kaitlyn Althouse, Jonathan Althouse, Wesley Robinson, Andrew Robinson, Emily Robinson, and Brandelyn Jenkins and her fiancé, Cole Reeves; great-grandsons, Jakoby, Zander, and Baby Boy Althouse arriving in 2023; siblings, Debbie (Eddie) Ward, Jerri "Pebbles" Upthegrove, and Barry "Buff" (Shannon) Blair; and her beloved pet, Mr. Whiskers. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The viewing will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Summers Funeral Home from 4-6:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
