CALVIN W. WILLIAMSON, age 81, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 1:48 a.m. at his daughter's home in Morrow, Ohio.
He was born on February 6, 1934 in Washington CH to Harry and Etta Mae Williamson. He had worked for more than 55 years as an interior and exterior painter. He had painted the gold dome on top of the Court House. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Morrow and the Painter's Union of Chillicothe Post #605. He enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture, puzzling, cooking, gardening, westerns, Judge Judy and had a love for his family and his church.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Lottie Morris Williamson, his second wife Ollie Duggan Williamson, grandchildren Kimberly Stroup and "Rocky" Stroup, great-grandchild Amanda Hicks, and two sisters, Mary Petitt and Norma Null.
Survivors include his children Linda Sue Smith of Florida, Mary Lou Stroup, Ginny (Jerry) Sharp both of Washington CH, Ludene (Jimmy Lee) Manson of Morrow, Leonard "Bud" (Susie) Williamson of Washington CH, and Charlene Williamson of Florida; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; siblings Donald Williamson, Ron (Eva) Williamson and Dean (Charley) Morris as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He is also survived by his beloved canine, Toby.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Bell officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
