CARL C. LONGOCIU, age 89, of New Holland, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 8, 1926 in East Canton, OH to George B. and Maria (Soflata) Longociu. He was a pharmacist graduating from the Ohio Northern University. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Kappa Psy Pharmaceutical Fraternity and the Moose Lodge in Sabina, OH. He retired in 1986. He was a member of the Fayette Bible Church. Carl loved fishing, horse races, baseball and was an avid OSU football fan. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, one brother George Longociu . Survivors include his wife Nadine Lilly Longociu, two daughters, Jennifer Ruth (Dennis Highly) Longociu of Wheeling West VA and Roberta (Joseph) Cain of Reader, West VA; one step-daughter Sharon (Gary) Roher of New Holland and one step-son Bruce (Linda) Lilly of Laurelville, OH; one granddaughter, Heather Cain of Reader, West VA and several step-grandchildren and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Fayette Bible Church with Pastor Dal Cramer officiating with burial to follow at the New Holland Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fayette Bible Church Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
