CAROL ANNE TARBILL, age 80, of Sabina, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

She was born on August 17, 1942 in Fayette County to the late Robert Gerald and Hannah Evelyn (Cutlip) Lankford. She retired from Frisch's Big Boy where she had worked as a waitress for many years. She enjoyed watching old westerns and had a love for all animals.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Tarbill; and siblings, Ernest Lankford, Roger Lankford, Robert Lankford, Judy Gribble, and Beverly Shaw.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia A. Tackett; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Storer, and Matthew S. Storer; great-grandchildren, Evan Maiden, and Owen Barton; and siblings, William A. Lankford, Deborah K. Lankford, Danny Lankford, and Pamela S. Kline. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Harlin officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place following her service and intermitent will be held at the Washington Cemetery at a later date.
