CAROLE E. (JENKINS) AILLS, age 90, of Hobe Sound, Florida, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Solaris Senior Living in Stuart, Florida.

She was born on December 23, 1933 in Madison County to the late Ralph and Reba (Cordell) Jenkins. She was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School. Carole worked for Washington City School's as a bus driver until her retirement. After moving to Florida, she assisted with the mission group at Hobe Sound Bible Church. She enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, playing her guitar, cooking, and spending time at the ocean.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Aills, whom she married on June 2, 1953; and siblings, Robert Jenkins, Barbara Wackman, Janet Bussey, and Shirley Ewald.

Survivors include her children, Jeri (Danny) Bogard, Gary (Lynda) Aills, Teri (Donald) Bailey, and Mark (Amber) Aills; grandchildren, Chastity (Todd) Thomas, Danette Garringer, Wes (Lindsay) Bogard, Nathan (Nichole) Aills, Nicholas (Emily) Aills, Jenny Lynn Bailey, Anthony Bailey, and Kara Joy Aills; great-grandchildren, Alexis McJunkins, Ade Hines, Ava Hines, Karigen Garringer, Kaden Rhyker, Bryar Bogard, and Aubrey Aills. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Gary Aills and Mark Aills officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
