CAROLYN ANN (PRUITT) COTTRELL, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 5:44 p.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. She was born on June 30, 1941 in Davison County, Tennessee to Avery and Clara Griffin Pruitt. She had previously worked as a waitress at Stop 35 Restaurant. She enjoyed playing Bingo, crafts, she was a great cook and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. The family states that she had a huge heart and that she "never met a stranger". Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Charles Cottrell. Survivors include her children, Janet Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Thomas (Julie) Wilson, Joni (John) Wilson and Katrina (Mark) Gibson; grandchildren, Randy Cook, Douglas Lunsford, Melissa Lunsford Wilson, Merissa Frazier, MaKenna Wilson, Mara Wilson, Amanda Wilson, Patrick Wilson, Natalie Wilson, David Potter, Danielle Dement, Carrie Shepherd, Delta Campbell, Fred White, Dylan White and Preston Gibson; 25 great-grandchildren as well as special friend, Marjorie See. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Siler officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
