Carolyn M. Hatfield Flint, age 89, of Washington Court House, passed away peacefully at her home on August 3, 2023. She was born on September 4, 1933 in Washington Court House to the late Basil D. and Eloise E. Manor Hatfield. On November 23, 1950 she married her husband of fifty-three years, James A. Flint who preceded her in death in 2003.
Carolyn attended Washington High School and was a member of the South Side Church of Christ. She had worked as a Packer for Webcraft Technologies in North Brunswick, New Jersey for fifteen years and lived in New Jersey for twenty years before moving back to Washington Court House.
Survivors include her daughters Dawn (Bob) Flint-Koller of East Brunswick, New Jersey and Debbie Burman of Washington Court House; her grandchildren, Leslie (Greg) Cartee, Jeff (Angie) Sword all of Washington Court House, Jami (Todd) Zirkles of Greenfield, Danny (Dani) Jones of Columbus and Alissa, Jennifer and Kimberly Koller all of East Brunswick, New Jersey; her great grandchildren, Matt Miller, Megan (Luke) Cartee, Levi Cartee, Clay (Shelby) Cartee, McKenzie (John) Rodgers, Whitney (Benny) Baldridge, Makayla Knesel, Emily and Kyler Jones and Zoey Koller. Also surviving are her great-great grandchildren, Layne, Benson, Jenson and Dixie Baldridge, Lillian, Layne, Calli and Bentley Cartee and Aiden Zirkles, Ava Jo and Avery Rodgers and Isacc Cartee; and very special nieces, Katrina (Nick) Minnehan Greenly and Gretchen Robbins and several cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Carolyn is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Jo Flint Beatty; her brother, Orris Hatfield; her sisters, Charlene Barber and Sandra Minnehan; her son-in-law, Steve Beatty and her nephews, Rick Donahoe and Jay Minnehan.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023 in the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Maurer officiating and burial to follow in the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 4-7:00 p.m.
