IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carroll Royce
"Jim" Rogers
September 10, 1935 – January 29, 2026
CARROLL ROYCE "JIM" ROGERS, age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born on September 10, 1935 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Josiah Franklin and Goldie Irene (Wilcott) Rogers.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of sixty years, Carol Ann (Duncan) Rogers, granddaughters, Liberty A. Rogers, and Kayla N. Rogers, and several siblings.
Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey A. (Bonnie) Rogers, and Jamie L. Rogers; grandchildren, Genevieve L. (Zach) Uhrig, Jeffrey A. (Brittany) Rogers, Jr., Seth Rogers, and Taylor M. (Tim) Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Gatlin Royce Rogers, Remington Lynn-Ann Rogers, Caden Bailey, and Aubrey Bailey. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and numerous children that Jim and his wife had babysat for.
Jim was a proud retiree of the Chrysler Corporation where he spent forty years. He delivered for the Record Herald and Shoppers Guide for twenty years after his retirement from Chrysler.
Pap, as he was lovingly known, loved his family and friends. He was generous and caring. He and Nan (Carol) raised grandchildren and several other children that were not biologically their own. Their large house always had an open door, and all were welcomed with love and a stocked refrigerator.
He loved to mow his lawn on his riding mower and being active. Pap and Nan loved "The Muppets," especially Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. They frequently visited Kings Island in Mason, OH, Gatlinburg, TN, and Daytona Beach, FL. He loved to watch wrestling, Judge Judy, and he was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Pap and Nan were a true love story spanning over sixty years. They have finally been reunited in Heaven.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
