Cary H. Stolzenburg Sr., age 67, of Gallipolis, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 1:30 a.m. at his home.

He was born on November 21, 1946 in Columbus to David and Luella Cottrell Stolzenburg. He had worked at the former Cudahey Cheese Factory. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Cary was preceded in death by his father, daughter Terry Lynn, brothers Richard and Tommy Stolzenburg and sister Janet Stolzenburg.

Survivors include his mother Luella Haines; his children Sonia O'Hara, Cary Jr. (Rachel) Stolzenburg, Annette (Eric) Smith, Daisy Fletcher, Terrance Stolzenburg, Derrick Messicker and Terry and Cary Devault; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Hazel (Lammond) Pool, Jean (Jerry) Howell, Ruth Penwell, Sherry (Neil) Dewitt, Brook Stolzenburg, David (Mary) Stolzenburg, Frank Stolzenburg, Kenny (Ellie) Jones, Bobby (Jodie) Penwell and Homer (Jackie) Penwell, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends including special friend, Linda Cox.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Justice officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
