CHAD EDWARD GROOMS, age 41, of New Holland, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:06 a.m. at his home.

He was born on March 8, 1977 in Fayette County to George Jr. and Jean Ann Self Grooms. He was a 1996 graduate of Adena High School. Chad had worked at the Yusa Corporation, Stark Truss, and Rocal Incorporated in Frankfort. Chad was a loving brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Chad was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Harvey and Dorothy Self; and his grandfather, George Grooms Sr.

Survivors include his brother, Vincent Grooms; niece, Ciera (Justin Martin) Grooms; nephew, Kyle (Mariah) Grooms; great-nephew, Justin Martin; great-niece, Aliah Grooms; and his best friend, Doug "Cowboy" Boren.

A gathering of family of friends will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.
