CHESTER "WAYNE" DAVIS, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Court House Manor.

He was born on December 9, 1940 in Clinton County, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mildred (Bloom) Davis. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. Wayne had worked for Kroger Central Trailer Repair for most of his life, but his favorite job was driving a school bus for Miami Trace for the last 11 years of his working career. He enjoyed bird watching, spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid Ohio State fan.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Randy Davis and Grover Davis.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Roberta "Sue" (Robinette) Davis, whom he married on April 15, 1967; his son, Rick (Julie) Davis; grandchildren, Devin (Shaynah) Davis, Trinity (Zech) Hagerman, and Faith Davis; great-grandchildren, Evangeline Davis, Randy Daniels, Olivia Rudy, and Curtis Johnson; brothers, Ronald (Gay) Davis, Bill Davis, and Terry (Bonnie) Davis; and sisters-in-law, Rita Bethel, Shirley (Bill) Gaskell, Judy (Larry) McCalla, and Linda Davis. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Summers Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m.
