March 8, 1939 – November 21, 2024
CLYDE F. ESTLE, age 85, of Washington CH, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at his home.
He was born on March 8, 1939 in Fayette County to the late Fred and Daisy (McCoy) Estle.
Clyde retired after twenty-five years of service from the Washington City School District where he had worked as a custodian at Belle Aire Elementary School; he was also employed as a ground's keeper at Cedarhurst, and Morrow Funeral Home. He was awarded the Random Act of Kindness Award in 1998 by the Altrusa Organization; and was also awarded Church Greeter of the year by the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. He was a faithful member at Heritage Church. Clyde loved joking around and making people laugh. He enjoyed coin collecting and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his sons, Clyde Rodney Estle, and Michael Ross Estle; siblings, William Estle, Emily Bailey, Robert Estle, Jim Estle, Milicent Estle, Portia Estle, Selby Estle, Vick Bennett, Darlene Souther, and Wilma Bennett; and his beloved canine companions, Flash, Boo-Boo, and Scooter.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Mary Arlene (Seymour) Estle; his daughter, Roxanne Kathleen Kmetz of Grove City; grandchildren, Monchel Estle, Zach Kmeth, Seth Kmetz, Gage Kmetz, Judson (Tesa) Estle, and Evan Estle; great-grandchildren, Calianna, Jayce, Garrett, and Grayson Estle, and Isabella Estle. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Dream Center, 412 Rose Ave., Washington CH, OH 43160.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Church (1867 Old US 35 NW, Washington CH, OH 43160) with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating.
Immediately following the service, all are welcome to join the family for refreshments at the Robert Kline Center.
