CORWIN EUGENE "GENE" WOLFE, after being so ill the past two months, passed from this life at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio on Friday, December 2, 2016 with his family by his side.

He was born at home on October 5, 1939, to Earl and Edith Carr Wolfe. He started his life on the farm and was a farmer all of his life. Gene and his Dad dairy farmed for years and later his son, Gary, and sometimes his nephew, Rick, dairy farmed until 1995. He went from dairy farming to beef cattle and then caring for the buffalo on the Litter Farm near Kingston. He retired in May of 2016 and enjoyed the time he and his grandson, Travis, had together taking care of their goats, mowing, and just being together.

Survivors include his wife; Roberta Molloy Wolfe, son; Gary (Ann) Wolfe, grandson; Josh Jordan of Dayton, daughter; Susan (Keith) Gaines, and one of the great loves of his life, his grandson; Travis, all of Bainbridge, Ohio. He is also survived by his brother; Donald Wolfe, niece; Kris Wolfe, sister; Betty Skeens, her children; Rick and Greg Pummill, Rhonda Stamper and their families, sister; Lora (Don) Snyder of Bergholtz, Ohio, and their children; Doug and Jon Snyder, Tammy Bradley and their families, brother-in-law; Maurus "Butch" (Donna) Molloy of Washington CH, and their children; Chris and Andrew, and their families, Michael L. Molloy of Georgia, sister-in-laws; Kathy (Steve) Kilbarger of Georgia, and their children; Randy Monroe and Ranae Scoggins, and their families, Karen (Danny) Osborne of Waverly, Ohio, and their children; Dannette, Shawn, Rueben, and their families. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including; Roger Carman and his family, five step-grandchildren and their families.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father in-law; Francis (Dorothy) Molloy, sister-in-laws; Karen Wolfe, Donna Wolfe, Elaine Molloy, and Brenda Molloy, brother-in-laws; Justin Molloy, Michael "Wick" M. Molloy, and Tom Skeens.

We really needed him here but God must have needed him more.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastors Doug Snyder, Bruce Viar, and Lynn Summers officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-8:00 p.m.
